Update your Loot Filter for Path of Exile 3.15 and Expedition League

Path of Exile 3.15

The Loot filter, the godsend of the Path of Exile player. This basic script makes it so much easier to filter out bad loot and speed up the mapping endgame. That’s become much more important as GGG has nerfed a fair bit in POE 3.15. The changes to both Flasks and support Gems leave players scrambling for any kind of help to make the game go faster.

The nerfs are pretty hard, and a lot of players don’t like them. But, you can see the point Grinding Gear Games is going for. The goal is clearly to slow the game down to avoid the culture shock when POE 2 finally drops. From what we’ve seen of the sequel it will feature a much slower and more brutal combat. That’s a big departure from the zoom-zoom playstyle that dominates POE today.

With the shift from the Flask changes, we can expect most loot filters in Path of Exile 3.15 to alter a few things in that area for leveling. Players will have to get used to the new meta in that respect at least, and also many more. The changes with 19 new skills is a welcome metagame shift, though, adding new layers to parse for builds.

Tons of customization options are out there for any filter you like. If you’re handy with code you could do the work yourself, but things like that take a lot of time. So let the POE community take the guesswork out. Use this guide to learn what the best options are for your Loot Filter for Path of Exile 3.15. GGG has put a lot of time into reworking rewards from previous leagues, and it’s generally some good buffs in there. I’m pretty sad about Talisman nerfs, but there’s still tons of good loot to grab.

Customizing Loot Filters

When it comes to making a loot filter, you have two options. You could spend hours fiddling with XML code to customize a filter. That’s a skillset that takes a ton of work just to learn. There’s a better option. You can instead use a pre-made filter and alter it from there. The best way to get that done is to use some online tools that make editing the base filter much easier. These two sites are the best tool for that.

FilterBlade is another option for customizing filters. It uses the Neversink filter as a base, making it one of the most trusted names in loot filters.  You can make a loot filter that’s more customized for finding certain rares. You could also focus on a filter that mostly shows currency for farming. Filterblade can alter many different styles and cosmetic options. For those who like a certain color scheme you can create an entire filter that’s built around a specific color as well.

FilterBlast is the best tool for updating and customizing loot filters, if you want to avoid FilterBlade for some reason. When making your Loot Filter for Path of Exile 3.15, you have many more options with this web-based service. It’s much more suited to experienced players as there are more options to pick from, and the UI is a bit more involved.
