Microsoft Flight Simulator becomes biggest launch in Xbox Game Pass for PC history

New Flight Simulator patch set to go live in a week

Microsoft has announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator has set new records in multiple ways. The game has set a sales record in the entire history of the 38-year series of games. The game has also become the biggest game launch on Xbox Game Pass for PC history.

The announcement on Xbox Wire reveals that more than 1 million players have taken to the digital skies in just a couple of weeks. More than one million unique players taking to the skies is just nuts. There have been more than 26 million flights in all, with travels totaling more than 1 billion virtual miles

over a million unique pilots have taken to the skies since the game’s launch a couple of weeks ago, and those players have clocked up an impressive 26 million flights and 1 billion miles to date in the virtual skies.

The company also released some stats about what players enjoyed most.  The game’s official Twitter account also put out an interesting infographic detailing that the most popular airport is John F Kennedy International airport in New York for players. Players also really enjoyed the Daher TBM 930 more than any other plane. That’s great and all, but even more has been revealed.

The developer has also released a new trailer celebrating the launch. Accolades trailers are still a thing in games when things go well. Check out the new trailer down below.

And we’re not done, as Microsoft has released some teasers about the future of the game, with the game planning to come to Xbox consoles too at some point. Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now on PC and Xbox Game Pass for PC.
