A video courtesy of Youtuber lionheartx10 shows off some great gameplay footage from the pre-alpha of Total War: Warhammer. The video shows off both CG cinematics and in-game battle scenes. Also included are still shots of the in-game UI and unit icons used for managing units. Unlike previous Total War games, Warhammer is set in a fantasy world, greatly increasing the variety of units available. These include giants, magicians and gyrocopters, all of which make substantial differences to how the realtime tactical game plays.
The battle itself is a selection of scenes from the Ambush at Thundering Falls. An interesting discussion of the various mechanics being implemented at this point in Warhammer’s development.
