State of Decay 2 Zedhunter revealed as free update during X018 showcase

X018 State of Decay 2 Zedhunter Trailer

Microsoft is going whole hog when it comes to new announcements and updates with it’s X018 event this weekend. We’ve seen updates for games like Forza Horizon 4 already, with it’s upcoming Fortune Island expansion, but now we’ve got some nice zombie action.

The newest update announced for State of Decay 2 is a special content pack with new weapons, items and other goodies to bip zombies with. A lot of these items are focused on stealth, so there’s things like night-vision goggles, high-powered rifles and other fun devices to take the heads off of the undead.

It’s easy to see why Microsoft would continue pumping out content for State of Decay 2. Since they announced an acquisition of developer Undead Labs this past year, the company has been eager to ensure success for this particular open-world zombie franchise. And it looks like they’re doing well according to this most recent trailer for the Zedhunter Pack. The game is boasting a reported 4 million active player count and over 5 billion zombies killed.
