Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island Expansion Announced

Forza Horizon 4‘s first full expansion, Fortune Island, was announced at Microsoft’s X018 conference.

Fortune Island is the first of two expansions planned for Forza Horizon 4, and it will be free for gamers who own the game’s Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 ($79.99 for Game Pass subscribers). If you just want the expansion pass, it will cost $34.99.

Playground Games hope to announce the second expansion in 2019.

Of course, there will be a whole stable of new cars to drive, there are five custom-built Ford vehicles on the slate for release this year as part of the Car Pass system that players can buy into. Those who already have a Car Pass get the 1977 Ford GymkhanaTEN, F-150 Hoonitruck, and the 1993 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A. Later this month Forza Horizon 4 players can also get the 1965 Ford Hoonicorn Mustang V2 and the 2017 Ford Fiesta RS, with the 2016 Ford GymkhanaTEN Focus RS RX planned to come out in December.

The expansion will also bring new weather patterns to the already beautiful racing game. With the launch of Fortune Island, thunderstorms and other extreme weather are coming to the tracks in Forza Horizon 4. These will of course change driving conditions drastically, making races much more challenging.

Forza Horizon 4 is available now for Xbox One and PC. Those who are Game Pass subscribers can play the game right now at no extra cost. Check out the trailer for the upcoming expansion down below.
