Sony announces Limited Edition PS4 Pro to celebrate 500 million Playstation consoles sold

Sony launching unique PS4 Pro for 500 million consoles shipped

Ever since Sony first entered the home gaming console market in 1994, gamers and curious onlookers alike wondered just how far this whole gaming fad was going to go. Well, here we are decades later with Sony becoming a titanic name in the games industry; and that little Playstation console, which originally began as a failed partnership with Nintendo in 1991, has gone on to launch a brand that shipped 525.3 million games consoles.

So celebrate, Sony is producing a limited run of 50,000 unique PS4 Pro console bundles.

The bundle itself is a custom console, controller and headset, all with their own unique style and color scheme. There’s also a vertical stand to display the console in all it’s glory, as well as a Playstation Camera. Sadly the camera isn’t styled with the same color scheme.

And yes, you can purchase the accessories separately in case you were wondering. The DualShock 4 will also be sold individually for $64.99 USD/$74.99 CAD/€64, and the Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset with the same blue theme will be available separately for $99.99 USD/$119.99 CAD/€89.

The console has a visually striking blue and black hue to it’s shell, with gold inlays around the console and various brand markings. The DualShock 4 controller included with the bundle features the same color scheme with a translucent shell. All consoles produced in this series will feature a unique serial number to allow gamers to further commemorate their love for one of the most iconic names in video games.
