Castlevania Requiem announced for PS4

Castlevania Requiem announced for PS4

The PS4 is getting it’s own version of two of the best and most-popular Castlevania games, Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood will be released on the console in October as part of Castlevania Requiem.

Though these are not full-scale remakes and are instead just running via emulation, they do featured support for 4K visuals and different rendering options. The games will also use updated control schemes to take full advantage of the Dualshock 4 controller. And for your achievement hunters out there, both games will have Trophy support as well.

Rondo of Blood on the one hand is a 1993 SNES title wherein you take control of Richter, a member of the Belmont family, who is on a mission to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend.

Symphony of the Night first arrived on the gaming scene for the PS1 in 1997. This game introduced Alucard, who heads into the now restored Castlevania to find Richter, who has gone missing after the events of the previous game.

Both games were highly regarded by critics and gamers alike, and have gotten multiple releases over the years.  Symphony of the Night in particular being a fan-favorite due to its great art and level design, as well as highly engaging gameplay.

Castlevania Requiem releases on October 26 for PS4, and you can check out the announcement trailer down below.
