Resident Evil 5 and 6 head to Nintendo Switch October 29

Resident Evil 5 and 6 Confirmed for Switch

Nintendo has been killing it with ports of different games to the Switch. And with the upcoming release of a more powerful version, at least in terms of battery life, of the Nintendo Switch, the console will become exponentially more appealing as a mobile gaming option.  The Switch Lite also offers a more portable option with decent battery life, although at the cost of some other features. Either way, September will be a great time to grab a Switch, and the following months will see lots of new games for the platform.

The latest instance of this port was already known, but it finally has a final release date. Announced as part of Nintendo’s E3 Direct this past year, Nintendo confirmed the ports of multiple titles in the Resident Evil series would be coming to Switch. And as a a bonus, RE 5 would be retaining its splitscreen multiplayer functionality.

These two games will be coming in October, and offering plenty of bloody fun and zombie shooting on the go. A post on the Capcom Unity blog also revealed that both games will cost around $29.99 each USD with GBP pricing yet to be confirmed.

Resident Evil 5 and 6 are headed to the Nintendo Switch as a digital release on October 29th. But that’s not all, because Capcom also confirmed some more good news for RE fans as well. A threepack of Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 will also be sold in retails stores, retailing for $59.99.  The cartridge will hold RE 4, while download codes for the other two games will also be included.
