Red Dead Online beta begins tomorrow for early players, everyone else is getting it next week

Red Dead Redemption 2

IF you’re planning on trying out the Red Dead Online mode beta, you don’t have that long to wait. According to a report from Variety, Rockstar is planning to start the beta test for the online service in the next few days.

The beta for Red Dead Online will start up begin in waves, with the most rabid of fans getting first crack at the beta. Beginning on Tuesday, November 27, those that purchased the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 will get priority access to the service, and will be able to try out Red Dead Online all on their own ahead of all the other players. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, the first wave of players will be sent invites into the open beta. This first wave includes all the players who bought and played the base game on launch. The final wave of invites should trigger on Friday for everyone else.

Red Dead Online is finally here, but Rockstar wants to make this very clear that it’s just a beta and that players will have issues. Rockstar will be actively developing the service and its various game modes over the next few months. This means that anything in the beta is subject to change upon the full launch of the feature. Hopefully it isn’t a Fallout 76 “beta” though, because, well that would be a bit crap.
