Soulcalibur VI update 1.30 out now

SOULCALIBUR VI - Swords and Souls: The Rise of SOULCALIBUR Part 1

Bandai Namco Games has released Soulcalibur VI update 1.30 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and it’s a pretty significant patch, with a lot of changes and fixes to tons of different areas

The big focus on gameplay tweaks with this patch is on balancing a ton of different gameplay elements in order to make the gameplay more fair and engaging.

For one thing, the battle system got a pretty big overhaul in a few different ways. Movement abilities across the board have had their input timings and impact adjusted to reduce accidental inputs and to keep combat more focused. Jumps, rolls, throws, critical edges and more have all been affected by these changes. A bunch of animations and sound cues have been tweaked to make them less abrupt too.

Other areas have been tweaked with v1.30 as well. For one thing, several area stages  have been expanded in size to account for increased movement speed. Multiple characters, like Mitsurugi, Taki, Seong mi-Na and many more have had new commands added or commands for certain moves adjusted. Bandai Namco really wants the combat in Soulcalibur VI to be a lot more balanced and fun.

Some bug fixes have been thrown in as well. Bandai Namco is still working on other bugs too, with a fix incoming for some of the camera issues, notably a problem where the view zooms out to detect a possible ring out, which makes it difficult to spot some moves.

There’s a huge amount of both minor and major changes to the game with this patch, go look at the patch notes to learn everything.

Soulcalibur VI is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
