The Pokémon Go Spring Event 2020 has begun, with folks being able to find a bunch of new unique spawns themed after the event itself. The Pokémon Go Spring Event 2020 will have increased spawns for Exeggcute, Chansey, Mareep, Marill, and Torchic. There will also be plenty of new gameplay goals to take on.
The big focus of the event is 2 km eggs. As you collect these eggs from the overworld, spawning all over the place, will have a ton of new spawns in them. A lot of the spawns will feature unique flower crowns, offering a new type of style to be collected. Taking on these tasks and collecting the eggs will force spawns with Alolan Exeggutor, Azumarill, and Audino. The various eggs spawns have also been augmented with special variants like Pichu wearing a flower crown, Togepi wearing a flower crown, Happiny, Munchlax, Tyrogue, Chingling, and Riolu.
The egg hatch distances for normal eggs during the course of the event have also been halved. Other bonuses include increased buffs from Lucky Eggs and more hatch candy being rewarded to the player. The merch store within the app has also been expanded. Various hoodies and bags printed with patterns involving Togepi.
The Spring Event 2020 will end on April 16. Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS devices.
