Marvel’s Spider Man teases second DLC Turf War, featuring Hammerhead

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Turf Wars DLC Teaser

Sony and Insomniac Games have announced the newest upcoming DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4. This new DLC pack is called Turf Wars, and adds a lot of new stuff to enjoy.

Turf Wars brings a fair bit of new content to the game, with new missions, enemies and other goodies. The story of this new DLC focuses on the ultra-vile Maggia crime family which has featured heavily in Marvel properties for years. The Maggia itself is a loose coalition of crime groups and formalized mob-esque families which conspire to dominate the world for their own benefit. The big bad guy this time around is Hammerhead.

The DLC includes new story missions, bases to take down and a bunch of other new content. Said story focuses on an ongoing gang war featuring the Maggia crime boss and the different criminal gangs and families vying for power amid the chaos in New York City.

According to the official announcement, here’s a bit more about Hammerhead and his destructive ambitions:

Hammerhead — the organized crime boss known for his obsession with the mob’s glory years and a cranium surgically enhanced into a deadly weapon — has declared war against the other Dons of the Maggia, and are using equipment left by Sable International during its occupation of Marvel’s New York. Spider-Man and Yuri Watanabe will have to team up to put an end to the violence that has erupted in the streets of the city.

In addition to the new story content and other such junk, the DLC also includes three new custom suits for Parker to wear while punching criminals in the face.

Spider-Man was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in September, and has very quickly become an insane hit for the platform. Sony and Insomniac have crafted what many are calling the perfect recreation of what fans wanted out of a Spider-Man game.
