Bells are very important in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as they are the main currency in the game that’s used for buying items and building upgrades and tools for your town. The process of farming for Bells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is easy, but kind of slow. For those of you what don’t mind cheating your way through the grind though, there’s a brand new exploit that has been discovered and posted around the internet. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons duplication glitch can be very easily performed and only requires a bit of setup.
The exploit requires two players to do, so you’re going to either need local co-op or an online connection for this to work. To bring in another player to your island, just use the app on your Nook Phone called “Call Resident”, which will summon the player to your home town. And of course, you can do this with two profiles on the same console. Then you just need a couple of other items to get started, and these can be gained right at the start of the game.
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons duplication glitch allows players to take a certain free item, and duplicate it for a steady stream of easy Bells. This can even be done right near the start of the game, as long as you have NPCs in your town and a few key items. To do the glitch, you just need two items:
- Wooden mini-table or a cardboard box from moving in.
- The Switch console prop given out in the 1.1 patch.
Here is how to do the Animal Crossing: New Horizons duplication glitch:
- Set up the table outside, and place the Switch on the table or box. (Place the Switch, don’t Drop it)
- Have one player go to grab and rotate the table by holding A.
- At the same moment, the other player should grab the item off of the table.
- This should clone the Switch prop and result in a copy ending up in your inventory and one being still placed on the table/box.
Now just duplicate the Switch item and sell a full inventory to Nook for thousands of Bells. There you go! You now have a pathway to infinite Bells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
