We’ve got more trailers and screenshots for a new game this week, this time it’s Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. The title is releasing in Japan under the name Hokuto Ga Gotoku.
Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise features an explosive battle system that really amps up the abilities of the protagonist Kenshiro. A funny quirk about the differences between the Japanese and Western releases is that the Western release is actually more violent. In a reversal of typical trends in localization, the devs turned the gore up to 11 with the version that would debut outside of Japan.
The game will also feature a variety of mini-games that would feel right at home in a Yakuza game. Which makes sense because the team behind Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise has worked on Yakuza games. Things like karaoke and tests of strength abound in this game as well.
Check out the trailer and new screenshots for the game down below. Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise will be released in North America and Europe for PS4 on October 2nd. The game will feature a toggle between full English or Japanese voice acting, so you’ve got that option should you so desire.
