We’re getting close to the launch of the biggest American shopping day of the year, and a lot of video game companies are getting in on the hype.
The big N has announced some special console and accessory bundles for fans to pick up. Both the Switch and the 2DS have special bundles, and there are a total of three sales that Nintendo announced today:
- Nintendo Switch + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle – $299.99
- Nintendo 2DS + Super Mario Maker Bundle – $79.99
- Joy-Con Wheel Set – $14.99
And yes, the bundles themselves for both consoles maintain their current retail pricing. Super Mario Maker 3DS costs $40, and is included free with the handheld. And with the Switch bundle, you get a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which runs for $60 new. It’s not a bad deal overall, at least if you’re looking to pick up one of these consoles.
But it’s not just console bundles and other brand new games on sale. Nintendo’s website also has a “Fun on a budget” section, which nudges potential customers to more affordable games and bundle options.
Now fans looking for deals on newer games will have to look to individual retailers to pick up the slack. Gamestop, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and other peddlers of video games will be running their own sales. So you may want to check with these spots as well.
