LEGO Overwatch sets are being released, because of course they are

If we can count on one medium for popular media to make the jump to, it’s LEGO. And of course, the massively popular FPS Overwatch is making the leap. Since the release of Overwatch in 2016 the game has grown to a massive hit complete with its own pro league, several tie-in short films and videos, and now we’re getting LEGO sets.

LEGO sets are always a great thing for fans to enjoy, and the adorable art style that Overwatch utilizes is a perfect fit for these sets. Seeing Tracer as a minifig is a cool thing. I’m sure fans of both LEGO and Overwatch will want to get their hands on this stuff.

In terms of what sets will be produced, we don’t have firm details quite yet. We can expect various small and large sets to recreate maps from the FPS, as well as plenty of minifig recreations of the heroes of Overwatch. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how the game carries over into different play sets and kits.

Overwatch is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to see more of these upcoming sets, check out the teaser video down below.
