Just Cause 4 shows off more gameplay with a new trailer

Just Cause 4

During the recent X018 event this past weekend, Avalanche Studios had some more goodies to show off for their upcoming action game, Just Cause 4.

The trailer, which is comprised of a mix of gameplay and cinematics, sets up the story of the newest installment, laying the groundwork for an epic and destructive continuation of Rico’s adventures.

Check out the “Eye of the Storm” cinematic trailer for Just Cause 4 down below. Just Cause 4 launches onto Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on December 4, 2018. So you better get ready to take Rico to new heights this time around with tons more insanity and explosions.

But not content with just a stunning new trailer, Avalanche also unveiled a bit about some pre-order bonuses for the game. Those who pick up the Gold Edition of the game ahead of it’s release will get an exclusive prologue chapter that dives deep into the backstory of one Rico Rodriguez.

You might also want to take a look at the Expansion Pass trailer, which details some of the post-launch content plans, if that interests you. For now, I’ll let the devs explain a bit about those pre-order bonuses.

“Pre-order the Gold Edition of Just Cause 4 NOW! Just Cause 4 introduces a new adrenaline-fuelled chapter for rogue agent Rico Rodriguez. After Rico lands in Solís to uncover the truth behind his father’s death, he will be fighting the ruthless Black Hand militia in extreme conditions; led by the ruthless Gabriela, this is Rico’s ultimate challenge. A storm is approaching; are you ready to bring the thunder?”

And it’s not just a new locale, new enemies and tons of crazy weapons, Just Cause 4 even takes the gameplay  and it’s interactions with the game world to whole new levels. Just Cause 4 takes place in the island nation of Solis, the largest map in the history of the franchise. And said map is filled to the brim with destructible buildings, zany AI and tons of random events for the player to weaponize.

It all comes down to your own creativity in this game. How you deal with a military target or other threat is entirely up to how insane you’re willing to be with the game’s arsenal. From weapons that control the weather, to a massively improved and customizable grappling system that basically gives you Force powers, Just Cause 4 isn’t holding back that ingenuity either.
