The Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Event is live today, bringing some new loot to the Borderlands 3 community, provided that they can shatter enough hearts. Yes, the new in-game event sees players literally breaking the hearts of their enemies. The goal of this new gameplay event is to attack enemies and break the hearts floating around them. Breaking a certain amount of these will earn a different reward.
So how do you begin this event? The event begins a bit differently to the previous seasonal gameplay, the Bloody Harvest. The player doesn’t need to pay a visit to Maurice to start collecting hearts and earning rewards. Just start on the main menu instead. Players can choose to turn on the Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Event if they so wish after choosing the Vault Hunter they wish to play as.
Once a player has toggled the new gameplay mechanics on, the hearts will begin to appear randomly around enemies and bosses. Start shattering hearts at your leisure. The rewards for destroying hearts during the event are:
- 10 – “ECHOcardiogram” Echo Skin
- 25 – “Cosmic Romance” weapon trinket
- 50 – Terminal Polyaimorous” Legendary Maliwan SMG
- 75 “Heartbreaker” Vault Hunter Skin
- 100 – “Wedding Invitation” Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle
The Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Event begins today, February 13th, and runs until the 20th of the same month. Previous events for the Borderlands community have been well-received, such as the Fortnite crossover, are a big part of what keeps players coming back to the looter shooter.
