How to disable chat in Diablo Immortal

Is there a Cow Level in Diablo Immortal?

Diablo Immortal is ultimately meant to be a multiplayer title. And with that comes the need to group up with your pals and slay demons. There’s also public lobbies that allow you to randomly group up with other players to take on foes. It’s a ton of fun for a mobile game packed with microtransactions.

To help organize players, there’s a full chat system in the game to allow interplayer communication. And since it’s an online game, there’s bound to be spam. So how do you prevent that? You could rely on moderation and auto-filtering that Blizzard has in place, but that’s not 100% reliable. You could also take the nuclear option and get out of public chat. There are a few other things to learn about this hit new RPG, so listen up. The Paragon leveling system is a bit different this time around, but mostly familiar. There’s also a more restrictive leveling system at play here, so keep that in mind. And if you find yourself not being challenged, trying a new difficulty in Diablo immortal might help. There’s also a battle pass to take on, if you want more consistent tasks to complete over your time with the game. If you’re having trouble finding your way around, try figuring out how to fast travel in Diablo Immortal to better orient yourself.

How to disable chat in Diablo Immortal

Disabling the chat entirely is a strong step, but a doable one. Here’s what to do. To disable the chat box in Diablo Immortal, you will need to head to the settings or tap on the chat box and click on the settings gear button next to it. Click on the Chat tab on the left, then you will see a list of what Chat Channels you’ve been in Chat Preview.

There are many different chat channels in the game, each with their own purpose. There are channels for the world you’re in, as well as the map instance for your group. Other options include Party and Clan chats to converse with friends. Raids are also a thing, so they have their own channel.

Any channels you’re already in will be marked in this menu. To leave that channel and prevent new messages, simply uncheck the option with a click. This will disable any new messages coming entering into your chat, but you will still be able to return later. To return to a chat channel, simply go back to the same menu and recheck the option for the channel you want.

If you leave all of the chat channels listed here, you will no longer see messages from them. The only way people can reach you in-game is via private whispers, which will still show up in your chat box. If you plan to play entirely solo and don’t care about grouping up or joining clans, this is a viable approach.

If you want finer control over who you play with, try out the clans in Diablo Immortal to help control your friends.
