And when these same types of games land on mobile, they do tend to get scaled-down, but they still feature a sprawling number of maps that you need to move between. This can be a little confusing to new players.
Diablo Immortal is the new mobile-first port of a game that takes place between the second and third games in the franchise. So that means many locations will be familiar to longtime fans. But to new players, things can be a bit confusing. When you need to get somewhere, it can be hard to figure out where to go. The fast travel in Diablo Immortal can help with that. Here’s what you need to know about the version of this system in the new RPG.
There are a few other things to learn about this hit new RPG, so listen up. The Paragon leveling system is a bit different this time around, but mostly familiar. There’s also a more restrictive leveling system at play here, so keep that in mind. And if you find yourself not being challenged, trying a new difficulty in Diablo immortal might help. There’s also a battle pass to take on, if you want more consistent tasks to complete over your time with the game.
How to Fast Travel in Diablo Immortal
The map in this new game takes a lot of cues from D3, and spans across multiple regions that you need to adventure across. There are 8 total regions in the game, with maps being set in all of them for different settings and themes. The heroes must venture from the very depths of Hell, to the local graveyard, and everywhere in between.
The crux of the fast travel system is a waypoint system. Waypoints are the bases from which you begin your journey in each map, and they’re found in each zone. These markers are highlighted with a purple icon on the mini-map. To unlock these waypoints, you just need to walk over to them. So when you get near a purple icon, make sure to clear the area, then run over and activate it. This will then add the waypoint to the map you use to fast travel in Diablo Immortal.
You can then hop between Waypoints in the overworld map to move to different areas within a region. But if an area doesn’t have an active waypoint, there is another option. The game features and auto-navigation system where the AI picks the best possible path for your character through a zone. It’s not a totally safe feature, as you will sometimes be attacked enroute.
