xAn all new trailer from Middle-earth: Shadow of War was released this week by Warner Bros. Interactive showing off how the updated Nemesis System creates more compelling orcs. The revamps to the system don’t include just orc enemies, however, which Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor players are familiar with; Middle-earth: Shadow of War‘s new orc followers add an extra layer of fun to the Nemesis System.
The trailer itself glances at the details of four individual orcs and proposes possible paths and stories to show just how the new Nemesis system can develop in a playthrough of Shadow of War. Interactions and histories between Talion and the Orcs he battles and “befriends” will develop in new and interesting ways if this trailer is anything to go by. Sadly, not many details about the mechanics of the system are known yet beyond what details can be derived from the various trailers.

It will be entertaining to see just how the new Orc Followers system ties in, you’re building an army through magic and might after all. So one would expect there to be some complex history and social interactions not only between Orcs and the player, but between individual Orcs as well. The player will also be dealing with a far greater number of Orcs overall as well compared to the first game.
