The Legacy 40 Challenges in Pokémon Go will be live this week as folks dig into the major new quest of the Beyond update. There are four of these in all for making it past level 40. Trainers will be able to jump up on the grind for Level 50 and get some special rewards. Those Trainers that manage to make the leap before the end of the year will get some unique encounters and other items. For trainers who do not reach level 40 before December 31, 2020, you won’t get access to this quest, so get on it.
All Legacy 40 Challenge tasks and rewards
The four tasks each has its own rewards and is pretty much like any other quest in the mobile game. Players will get a variety of items for completing each one, as the four tasks has multiple stages. Catching and evolving Pokémon are a big source of awards like XP, Star Pieces and Stardust. You can also earn a cache of rewards for completing each task.
Task 1
- Power up a Pokémon 10 times – 1,000 Stardust
- Catch 15 Pokémon – 3 Star Pieces
- Make 5 Nice Throws – 1,000 XP
Rewards: 750 Stardust, Rufflet encounter, and 1,000 XP
Task 2
- Catch 15 different species of Pokémon – 1,000 Stardust
- Transfer 10 Pokémon – Unova Stone
- Use 15 Pinap Berries while Catching Pokémon – 1,000 XP
Rewards: 750 Stardust, 3 Premium Raid Passes, and 1,000 XP
Task 3
- Make 3 Great Curveball throws – 1,000 Stardust
- Win 3 Raids – Sinnoh Stone
- Give you buddy 10 Treats – 1,000 XP
Rewards: 750 Stardust, 3 Super Incubators, and 1,000 XP
Task 4
- Claim reward – 5,000 Stardust
- Claim reward – Deino Encounter
- Claim reward – 1,000 XP
Rewards: 5,000 Stardust, Archen Encounter, and Gyarados Cap
