So it turns out that Fortnite is getting another new mode, and it’s a massive change for the landscape of the game. This latest update, ahead of the full launch of Season 7 and its icy content, will allow players to get a lot more creative in the popular shooter title.

Season 7 marks the launch of Creative mode in Fortnite, paving the way for an entire community of content creators to get elbow deep into the Fortnite engine to make various creations.

Creative Mode allows players to “design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways, and build your dream ‘Fortnite,’” the studio said in a blog post. It’s available starting Dec. 6 for people who buy a Battle Pass. Everyone else will get access to the new feature on Dec. 13.

I for one cannot wait to see what kind of shenanigans the fans of this game get up to. Players can create, place manipulate and copy objects all across the map in the instance they have total control over. Players will also be able to fly around their newly created map to make edits in a timely manner.

Epic is also giving fans a bunch of premade levels and assets to build off of. Prefabs include 8 obstacle courses, 25 buildings from the Fortnite Battle Royale mode, and 34 galleries of tiles and props. And the items that can be placed run the gamut across pretty much everything in the game such as damage rails, speed boosts, timers, scoreboard, player spawns and lots of different traps.

Fortnite is out now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. Check out the full patch notes for v7.00 over on the official site.
