Rocket League Ultimate Edition

Rocket League, the hybrid racing sports title that was once inescapable in terms of it’s visibility, has more updates on the way.

Developer Psyonix has a new announcement for fans of the game, one that’s sure to make you squeal your tires in delight. Cross-platform play was already a thing in private match modes for Rocket League, the feature was added by the team back in 2016. Now, the feature is being expanded.

Per an announcement blog, Psyonix plans to bring more options for cross-platform play, especially during Season 9 of the competitive league for the game , which begins in the next couple of month.

Specifically, the plan is to add the option for friends to group up while playing on different platforms. So PC and Xbox One gamers will be able to play together across all of the active game modes once this patch lands. Other content will be introduced to the game around the same time as well. The new Ultimate Edition is coming out, alongside the new Rocket Pass progression system. All in all, there’s a lot for Rocket League fans to be revving their engines in excitement over.
