How to craft health potions in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is here, and Sony fans are exploring the massive world. The story of Aloy has already found a ton of bunch of cool stuff. But to find it, you have to do the exploration. The game’s fast travel option certainly makes completing the game easier, so learning about that’s a good idea. There are many other mechanics you will want to familiarize yourself with. Of the many systems in the game, crafting new gear and weapons is pretty important. That includes healing potions as well.

But beyond that, there’s actually a very important secondary system. With the focus on photo-taking and photo mode, looking good is a great way to play the game. The visual style of the game is very unique, and sometimes players might want to make Aloy look pretty cool. You can swap around your outfits in-game at certain points.  Keep reading to learn more about some other stuff as well.

You’ll need to finish the tutorial section and defeat the Slitherfang first, before you can unlock the outfit swapping feature. This will also unlock a few other key systems. You will then be sent to Chainscrape to carry on with Aloy’s missions. This will all be part of the To The Brink questline, so keep working on that. During that time, you will find various other in-game locations on the expansive map. From here, you also get access to merchants, which sell everything from armor sets to healing items.

To change outfits in Horizon Forbidden West, you just need to tap the touch pad. This will open the primary menu. Then, you just need to press L1 to tab over to Inventory. From there, you can see what outfits you have. Choose the one you want and press X to swap to it.

How to get more outfits

To get more outfits, you’ll need to go to a Stitcher, which are NPC merchants normally found at settlements. They’re marked on your map with an armor icon. Seek them out and see what they have. They will often be located nearby to the crafting station, making it easy to craft potions and other items you may need.

Some armor types will also need different machine components to craft; for example, the Carja Wanderer outfit requires a Sunwing Circulator and 399 Metal Shards. Exploration can be a great way to get new crafting recipes. Players who play a more completionist style will benefit a lot here. There are also some quests that reward outfits and weapons for completion, be sure to hit those up.
