Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle for Xbox One announced

Bayonetta and Vanquish remasters leaked

A Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle for Xbox One has appeared on the Microsoft Store. This has PlatinumGames fans very excited, as these two incredible niche titles have developed a rather impressive following in the last few years. PlatinumGames and Sega have apparently been quietly plugging away at the project, and are now ready to reveal it to the world.

And not only has an Xbox One release been revealed, but it now seems like the PS4 will get the same treatment. Both remasters and the Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle will be released on Feb. 18, 2020, store listings say. According to the released information so far, both games run at 4K resolutions with 60 frames per second on supported hardware. So that means that these two games will be released in remastered form, and optimized for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

PlatinumGames’ Vanquish is a 2010 release for the Xbox 360 and PS3, directed by the legendary Shinji Mikami. The 3rd person shooter places players in the role of DARPA agent Sam Gideon. Your mission is to infiltrate and take down a rogue faction called Providence. The unique combat mechanics of Vanquish center around a transforming weapon suit that’s closer to mecha than it is power armor.

Bayonetta on the other hand stars an Umbra Witch who “rises from the depths after half a millennium in slumber with no recollection of her mysterious past,” using an impressive array of weapons to defeat foes in a brutally stylish action title. In contrast to Vanquish, Bayonetta uses living hair as a weapon, I’m not kidding. The really extreme sexualization of the whole affair is a pretty big part of the draw, and means that Bayonetta has a style and look that is truly all its own.
