Star Wars Battlefront II’s Geonosis update has a new trailer

Star Wars Battlefront 2

Within the next week, a new patch will introduce major new content to Star Wars Battlefront II. The The Battle of Geonosis update adds tons of new content, including some new maps and heroes for players to have fun with. EA and DICE have just released a new trailer for the update which showcases one of the new additions to the roster in action.

Previously, we got to see the brutal and dangerous General Grievous  in action as part of the update. He is incredibly skilled with a lightsaber, and has a suite of terribly effective and strong special moves. His two offensive moves are Thrust Surge and Unrelenting Advance. Each of these abilities has their usefulness. The coolest of these two is Unrelenting Advance, which is pulled directly from the battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi in Revenge of the Sith. Use this ability to catch opponents in spinning wheels of brightly-colored death. The third ability for the character is called Claw Rush. Players should use this to escape a dangerous situation, shoving enemies out of the way and dealing small amounts of damage in a large radius.

Alongside the vicious General Grievous, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi joins the fight against the CIS. The model and abilities for Kenobi are modeled fairly accurately after the version of the character from Revenge of the Sith as well. Kenobi’s abilities featured moves like All-Out Push and Defensive Rush. These moves allow Master Kenobi to take on entire armies of baddies, and their resulting laser bolts, with ease. The character seems built as a hard counter to the extremely aggressive nature of Grievous.

The full Battle of Geonosis update also introduces some new balance changes and game modes to the competitive shooter.

Star Wars Battlefront II is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The Battle of Geonosis update launches on November 28th for all platforms. Check out the newest trailer for the patch down below.
