A listing has appeared on the ESRB website for a new version of NieR: Automata. This new game is listed as NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition, and is slated to release for Windows PC and PlayStation 4. This seems to be a Game of the Year edition of one of 2017’s most popular and well-received games, but it’s hard to know exactly what’s going on here. No Xbox One version is mentioned, but there’s a minute possibility of one being released for the console, if there’s enough fan demand.
Square Enix and Platinum Games haven’t released any information or an official announcement for this new version, so we can only speculate as to what’s actually happening with this release. The new version is rated Mature, and has the same descriptors as the original game, in fact the listing is nearly identical to the base game.
NieR: Automata notably had one piece of DLC titled 3C3C1D119440927 which included new costumes and boss fights. But in terms of other content, there’s not much to mention. so what this “Game of the Year” rendition will include is a bit of a mystery. Although it is all but certain that this is real, considering that the ESRB is a trade organization which rates games, and would not likely release false information or intentionally misdirect people.
So for now, just keep your eyes open at check back here at ISKMogul in the next few weeks for more news.
