Developer Stoic Studio has released a new trailer for the now available The Banner Saga 3. The trailer takes the time to focus on all of the praise and accolades that the game has earned over the last week since it’s release on July 26, 2018.
Banner Saga 3 is the epic conclusion to a sweeping viking saga six years in the making. This strategic RPG, acclaimed for its strong story and compelling characters has has won over 20 awards and been nominated for 4 BAFTA awards.
The Banner Saga 3 expanded on the previous games in the series by introducing new characters with new storylines, as well as new gameplay features that enhanced the strategy RPG experience to a whole new level. As the player makes strategic decisions, the game will adapt, all the while ramping up the challenges. The most significant difference with the lis that enemies will now attack in waves and if you don’t clear one before the next arrives you’re in serious trouble.
Being that it was the last game in the series, it had to wrap up the story, and according to reviews, it did that pretty convincingly. All while continuing the dark and brutal tone and themes from previous games. All the games it nicely together as cohesive chapters of an over-arching story, and this last chapter appears to be a great conclusion.
The Banner Saga 3 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac, and will be coming to iOS and Android devices later this year.
