With both a free and paid update on the way, players have a ton of new customization options for their islands. With the Happy Home Paradise DLC. players will be able to place down some new paths. One such new addition is the ability to permanently place ladders in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. A big part of the new update is new ways to customize your islands and their layout. Players can make their island even work in different ways with Ordinances that do different things.
All the stuff mentioned above will be added as a free update, with the DLC adding the vacation and resort content. As for the premium update, it’s a lot of stuff for homes. So let’s talk about that.
Homes get a makeover
Your job is to head to Lottie’s island and fix it up for the new vacationers that visit. You get a bunch of new and customizable floorplans to work from. Nintendo has clearly seen all the restaurants and schools players have built in ACNH, and they’re giving us tools to make that kind of stuff easier to make.
Players are getting a ton of different options to change their villager homes with. There’s a new feature that allows you to build dream vacation homes. Each villager will also have unique aesthetic elements for their vacation homes. You will be able to place various bits of furniture and help them decorate the inside of their homes. New furniture items like pillars, dividers and partitions are being added to allow for more drastic room layout changes too. You can even change the look of this furniture as well. Paradise Planning will assist players by suggesting certain items to help flesh out the interior, based on the client’s preferred theme.
One of the drastic new changes also applies to the outside of homes. The interior designer has been applied to the outside of a home as well. Players can move furniture items and place them directly from their inventory inside and outside.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise is $24.99 and launches Nov. 5.
