How to go on an island tour with Kapp’n in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ 2.0 update has dropped a full 2 days early, as Nintendo let Christmas come early. There are a ton of new features being added in this update. There’s the new resort island content, where you can bring new visitors to a special vacation spot. But to get access to most of the new content. you have to unlock it first. There’s a lot to that, so this guide will help you out by showing you how to go on an island tour with Kapp’n.

When you download the update and start the Switch game, you will see Isabelle looking rather excitable. She will talk you through many of the new features in a mini-tour. And now you can head onto your island and check things out. To go on an island tour with Kapp’n, you just need to head to the dock on your island. Somewhere on your home island will be a small boat dock, you will find our new froggy friend in his boat, waiting for you.

You can save a bit of Nook Miles this way, as the island tours cost 1,000, versus the 2,000 for the Dodo Airlines tours. They both head to the same mystery islands, so you’re not missing much.

You can now use an island tour with Kapp’n to go and find Brewster on the randomly spawned islands. You might also find a bunch of other stuff. These islands often have rare fish and other goodies.

Other new features added in this patch include a bunch of new cooking recipes, as well as tons of new decorations. There are even new reactions for your character to fool around with.
