What does the Pro Decorating License do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ 2.0.0 Update?

How to get a Shovel in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ 2.0 update has dropped a full 2 days early, as Nintendo let Christmas come early. There are a ton of new features being added in this update. There’s the new resort island content, where you can bring new visitors to a special vacation spot.  There’s also a bird-brained new pal in Brewster, who can be invited to your island. There’s so much more to discuss, too much for this guide. For simplicity, let’s talk about one of the core new features. One of thee new items is called Accent Walls in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

These special accent items go on home walls to give them a bit more flair. To unlock accent walls, you need to purchase the Pro Decorating License which can be bought for 2,500 Miles at the Nook Stop. Now that you have the option, you can get to decorating your new houses. So get out that design book and tinker with all the new stuff in the patch.

Getting it from Nook Stop is just like any other gameplay upgrade. You buy it, and after the animation plays, you have the new option unlocked on your phone.

Press down on the D-pad to open up the interior editing mode. Then, switch to the wall layer by pressing +, now go to the wall you want to place the Accent wall on. From there, press X to bring up the inventory. Just choose “Set Accent Wall” while selecting a wallpaper in the inventory, this will place it over the current wall colors and decorations.

That seems to be the core function of the Pro Decorating License.
