In order to find Brewster, you’ll need to visit a random island using another new 2.0 feature. You need to go on one of Kapp’n’s boat tours or on the Nook Tour at the airport to find him. Pay the 1,000 Nook Miles to go to these random islands, and you may end up finding the birdy pal. Some players had to run the tour a few times to spawn him on the random islands.

When you find him, give him a pep talk and invite him back to your home. He will show up there and close the museaum for a day to open his shop.
