A new version of the indie adventure title set in the legendary Terminator universe is coming in 2021. Terminator: Resistance Enhanced will come out for the PlayStation 5 in March 2021, bringing with it a variety of improvements. It will include all the same content from the 2019 shooter Terminator: Resistance, with a few new additions.
The new version will include a variety of features that take advantage of the improved power of the PS5. Players can expect 60 FPS standardized framerates and better overall performance. 4K resolution and “new features” will be added as well, and it looks like haptic feedback will be a big part of the experience as well. Players will get to feel every shot against a giant metal killing machine in this new version.
Aside from the console-specific stuff, there’s going to be a push to include all the patches and gameplay changes brought in through the last version as well. In short, this will be the ideal way to play the game. And yes, the PC-exclusive Infiltrator Mode will be added to this port as well. Terminator: Resistance Enhanced will also be getting a few minor tweaks as well that improve the overall experience. Expect a nice jump in visual quality.
On top of all that, we’re also getting some paid DLC as well for all versions. Details are still very murky but it looks like new levels and a side story are incoming.
With a PS4 port also planned, it’s important to note that the PS5 version will be the only one on consoles that has the full gamut of changes and improvements. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will get a stability and gameplay patch in Q1 2021, but the performance and visual upgrades are locked to next-gen consoles.
Terminator: Resistance will also be available to PlayStation 4 owners on the same day it launches for the PlayStation 5 on March 26, 2021.
