How to Fast Travel in New World

New World

Like in many other MMORPG games, players find it hard to travel around these huge worlds. These MMOs are massive, and the ones like Amazon’s New World tend to go hard on realism. This new game has a world so dangerous that you can drown. That’s certainly not a standard game design choice. Gamers seem to love it though, so these guides will help new players get adjusted.

Having success in this game is all about being able to explore. Tons of hidden fights and other content can be a pathway to major resources and gear. And with the crafting system incentivizing traveling around, it becomes important to know the world around you. As such, Fast Travel in New World is pretty important.

How to Fast Travel and Recall in New World

Thing is, the overall system is actually pretty restricted. Players can only get into certain places via these teleportation mechanics.

There are three different ways to fast Travel in New World. Recalling is the basis here. Players need to visit a main settlement and enter the inn to “tag” said inn. When you do that, you can then travel back to it.

To recall in New World, open your map (M key), and hover your mouse over any major settlement. then just pick to recall back to it. You can also jump back to any other settlement, outpost, or spirit shrine using the Fast Travel option. This system allows players to teleport back to an Inn at any settlement. It’s a great way to go farming for resources, provided you already know the area.

The other common method to use when trying to Fast Travel in New World is using Azoth to jump between settlements. You must be inside a settlement, outpost, or spirit shrine to do this. Azoth is basically a secondary currency which you spend to get various things done. You can get around the map anywhere you want, but it scales the cost the farther away you are. Trying to travel from one end of the other is pretty costly with Azoth.

Finally, you can also rely on player housing. Anytime you own a house in this game, you can teleport to it. This is useful if you have a main area you like to operate out of, and need faster access to it.
