When will Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem come to Pokémon Go?

The massive and powerful legendaries, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem, are all coming to Pokémon Go. Having these three beasts in the roster gives the top tier Trainers something new to chase. So, when do these three legendaries come to the game? On May 19, developer Niantic announced they were bringing Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem to the mobile augmented reality game. So now fans just have to wait.

Niantic has announced the new Legendary entries via Twitter, said tweet can be found below. Players will be making use of five-star Raids to capture these new Pokémon. Dates have been held back by Niantic, but there have been some interesting leaks. Check out more details below.

The Unova region from Pokémon Black and Pokémon White contained many mysteries and new friends to hang around with. And of course, brought a new roster to the long-running series. Having Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem as the new Legendary beasts was just the cherry on top of the sundae. And since they’re now being introduced into Niantic’s mobile game, fans are excited to see them again.

The Legendary monsters were brought out in stages. Reshiram and Zekrom first made their debut in Pokémon Black and White, which released in 2010. They were the new legendary Pokémon. Reshiram was a Dragon and Fire-type, whereas Zekrom was a Dragon and an Electric-type.  Then in 2013 Game Freak brought the first direct sequel in mainline franchise history with two new Pokémon games, Black 2 and White 2, and introduced a new legendary for these games, Kyurem, which is a Dragon and Ice-type.

Now all three of them are coming to Pokémon Go. The exact dates for the release have not been revealed by Niantic though. Fortunately, we can make some guesses based on other information. They will be in the game by June, that much we know. Reshiram will be the first, with the rest following in a staggered release schedule.

Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem will each have their own release days, giving players time to grab them. The suspected dates for these releases were allegedly leaked, and can be found below:

  • May 27 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm local time
  • June 3 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm local time
  • June 10 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm local time

These times are subject to change. But some players suspect that Niantic is following a similar schedule to the release of Thundurus, Tornadus, and Landorus. Those three were introduced to the game earlier this year in a similar way. Tornadus first arrived in February, followed by Thundurus in March, and Landorus in April.

It looks like Niantic will also debut these legendary Pokémon via the high-end Raids that players have turned into the PvE milestone for the game. the 5-Star Raids are often the hardest, and have the best rewards. It’s a safe bet that the three new roster entries will be locked into these Raids when they debut.
