World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has been announced as the next expansion to World of Warcraft. Following on the heels of Shadowlands, the story finally moves on, bringing dragons back as a major threat. World of Warcraft: Dragonflight brings a mountain of new content and refinements to the aging MMO. The developers have already announced plans for both an alpha and beta test period. That period doesn’t have a firm date yet, but it is coming, and there’s a lot of excitement for it.
And it’s easy to see why fans and old-timers looking to return are excited. Changes planned for the launch of the MMO’s expansion are massive. The pretty major news so far, is that there’s a complete retooling of build variety and progression on the way. Players will have access to Talent Trees they can use to alter their builds in huge new ways. The crafting and profession system in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is an overhaul with more refined progression, better UI design and a new crafting orders system. This will allow players to put up orders on the market for custom items. And yes, crafting has its own set of talent trees as well.

How to sign up for the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Beta
Here’s how to signup for the beta, if you want to try and get in. First, head to the official Dragonflight page and click on the Beta Opt-In buttons. You will see one right at the top of the page. There’s one at the bottom as well, click that and you will be prompted to log into your active WoW account. Make sure to use the one you want to play the beta on. Once you have completed the login loop, you should get a confirmation message on your device thanking you for opting in. That’s not a confirmation that you’re going to be invited, you’ll have to wait to see if you got in.
If previous wisdom holds true, Blizz will often focus on getting players with active playtime and constant feedback into the beta and alpha periods. Being active in the game consistently over the years should help improve your chances of getting in. You need to be a player with a good record on your account as well. So if you’ve been banned for botting or RMT, don’t expect to get an invite.

So I know you’re hyped, but we will have to wait a while. The expansion was officially revealed on April 19, 2022, and we only have the trailer and bare teasers to go on so far.
