Inside Star Citizen: Prowlin' the Black Market

The newest Star Citizen video is out from developer Cloud Imperium Games, offering a look behind-the-scenes at ongoing development of the spacefaring MMO. A previous entry took a look at the ongoing progress creating ships sourced from Origin Jumpwoks in-universe, like the 300i. Now on this edition of Inside Star Citizen, CIG is showing off 30th century life with pirates and the black market economy in-game for much more than ships.

The upcoming alpha 3.6 patch will bring new iterations to the in-game economy with a particular focus on criminal activity.  The different regions surrounding planets have their own laws and economic trends, and 3.6 will expand upon this by adding new functionality to the trading systems for trade routes and the like.

The company also took to showing off some of the ongoing work on Esperia’s adapted dropship, the Prowler. Seeing how the interactive elements of this 20-crew starship is pretty cool. Currently teams at CIG have revealed that the interior work is ongoing on the Prowler, with lots of detailing left to do.
