The Walking Dead from Overkill finally confirms its release date
Overkill has released a brand new trailer for its upcoming shooter, The Walking Dead, which confirms the game’s final release date.
After the team released the final character trailer for Heather yesterday, everyone paying attention assumed that another announcement like this was coming, and that assumption proved accurate. The game was announced, then repeatedly delayed, all the way back in 2014. The wait is now over as gamers can start mowing down zombie hordes on November 6, 2018.
the first real gameplay trailer for The Walking Dead also confirmed what we all suspected about how the game will actually work. Each of the four characters has unique abilities tied to their backstories that work well together while trying to survive. And careful management of these abilities as well as other resources is the key to actual living through this nightmare. The gameplay itself is a mix of stealth and direct shootouts against endless hordes of undead. No details on any types of special infected or bosses in the trailer, although there probably is a mechanic for that in the game.
Pick up the fight on November 6 in Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Pre-orders start tomorrow on June 12.
