What is Emissary Value in Sea of Thieves?

Where to get Soul Fragments in Sea of Thieves

With the new dawn that Sea of Thieves Season Two brings out, the Rare pirate adventure has taken on new life. Players are surging back in to get in on the fun. With all the locations to explore and the fun to be had, there’s bound to be something you have questions about. One thing a lot of users seem to be confused about appears to be the many factions in-game. As you play through the game, you will likely end up improving your standing with these various factions. That will often be referred to as Emissary Value in Sea of Thieves. But what exactly is Emissary Value in Sea of Thieves?

What is Emissary Value in Sea of Thieves?

Emissary Value is the measure of how loyal you are to the various Companies in the game. As you complete voyages and trade routes for these factions, a bunch of rewards can be earned. These rewards will often include an increase of Emissary Value. There are three factions that hinge on this mechanic, and each one requires you to turn in a certain kind of loot to get Value from them.

  • Gold Hoarders: Chests
  • Order of Souls: Skulls
  • Merchant Alliance: Crates

And if you don’t want to trade to any of these factions, you can take the items to the Reaper’s Bones, but any of the three items will only earn about 25% of their value for the player.

You can check your progress on these aspects in your Emissary Ledger. This leaderboard will track all players and their progress through the season. The progress will likely reset every so often. And if you do well, there may be unique items and cosmetics to be earned. So if you want to earn some cool stuff for your scurvy crew, make sure to get in as soon as possible.

There are plenty of new challenges to take on as well. The new Forts of Fortune are the most challenging endgame activity added to the game so far. You can earn plenty of Gold and other rewards for completing these. You might also want to take a gander at curses and other rewards that grant gameplay boons for the various factions.
