At the start screen, press X to bring up the Accessibility settings in the menu. This is the menu where you can adjust a bunch of different things, like visual effects, subtitle sizes and more.

To turn off narration, just scroll down to the ‘Screen Reader’ option. This will be set to System Default when you first see it. You can change it to off.

Also, take a chance to set up your audio settings for games and effects volume in the Audio section of the main menu as well.
