The full season of The Council is out now, check out the trailer

The Council Full Season Launch Trailer

Like many narrative-driven adventure games of this era, The Council is bringing episodic content and an engrossing story to a new crop of gamers. Since it’s launch in March of this year the game has delivered a consistently weird but still engrossing experience.

The Complete Season and fifth episode of The Council, the narrative adventure game redefining the genre with RPG mechanics and consequences for every choice, release today on PS4, Xbox One & PC digital stores. Season Pass owners already have it, so they’re a bit ahead of the rest of us. And this fifth episode brings the deep and interesting story set up earlier in the season to an absurd conclusion.

Players have been tasked with dealing with the blowback from their choices, as well as their mistakes, throughout the course of that story. The Council follows the De Richet’s desperate and increasingly chaotic quest to survive and possibly save the world from a new and terrifying evil.

The game itself has a deep and engaging story, but gamers have been reporting some issues with weird scripting and other bugs plaguing their games at the start. Although the developers Big Bad Wolf seems to have addressed most complaints. In terms of actual story, the setup is really intriguing, and it feels like your choices actually matter in terms of impacting said story.
