Hazelight has sold two million copies of A Way Out, new co-op title on the way

A Way Out

Hazelight Studios, the team behind the excellent cooperative adventure, A Way Out, has some really good news about their defining game. The prison breaking and heisting story has pushed more than two million units. The story of criminals Vincent and Leo follows a twisting path of interesting and complex characters as they try to finagle their way out of the criminal underworld.

The game takes on a decidedly crime drama tone, that only amps up the tension as the hours tick on. Vincent and Leo have their own demons to deal with, and as a cooperative game, player choice has an impact, and will decide whether you find a way out of the clutches of crime and violence. It’s a wonderful game, and you should play it if you have any interest in crime dramas or co-op video games.

Although Hazelight Studios doesn’t have any gameplay to show just yet, speaking of their new project, the fanbase they built out of the engrossing story of A Way Out will definitely get some play among various gamers. The excellently paced cooperative narrative of that first game was tense, engaging, and most importantly of all, incredibly fun. I can’t wait to see what the developer has in store for their next game.

We might see their new title at Gamescom 2019 this month, or maybe they’re holding out for something special in terms of an announcement. No information about the new game or a release date has yet to be revealed.
