UPDATE: EA have released a new trailer for the Starfighter Assault Game mode. The new trailer is a recut version of the same teaser below. It adds in clarifications for some of the maps these fights will take place on. The Unknown Regions deep in space, and the clone planet of Kamino are both named here. The trailer features the Starfighter Assault multiplayer mode, that will put players at the control of the powerful fighters of the series like X-Wing, TIE Fighters and more.
The new title will encompass the entire Star Wars canon at various points, and will include iconic characters like Yoda brawling it out. The game will feature a fully-fledged story campaign as well. The space battles are being developed by Criterion, the Burnout developer that put together Battlefront’s Rogue One VR mission.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will launch 17th November on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who buy the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition will get three day early access to the sprawling shooter.
