Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario are the perfect way to wind down after a long week, as the two games are crossing over in a new event. Nintendo has brought two of their most popular franchises together to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Italian plumber and his fantasy adventures.
The free update arrives on February 25 via a new patch. I just downloaded it while checking my island this morning, it’s a pretty small patch. Nintendo has announced, during the recent Direct, that the Mario-themed items will be added to the game on March 1. So check back with the game in a few days to start getting the new items.
How do you get the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Mario items?
It’s simple, you just need to buy them. Most of the new items are DIY Recipes you get as drops from the Nook Terminal in Resident Services. Once you have the Nook Shopping options unlocked, the items should start to appear there for purchase. A lof of the items are mushroom-themed, and many more are cosmetics to look like iconic Mario characters.
These are all of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Mario items that have been revealed so far. The list is sure to change a bit once the update goes live. Check back for more details as we keep these guides up to date.
