Capcom have released new trailers for Monster Hunter: World. Both combine to show off monsters, map areas and mechanics in the upcoming game. The first trailer focuses on Wildspire Waste, an uncharted desert area of the forthcoming game, and exhibits some classic monster hunting. There’s a wide variety of monsters on show, from aquatic, crocodile-like beasts to expressive, semi-intelligent creatures who are able to wield simple tools to both defend and attack. The second trailer is in Japanese, and while it’s still full to the brim with monsters to hunt, it also documents a few of the gameplay mechanics.

The Wyverns featured in both trailers have become one of the more iconic monsters of the franchise. And it’s easy to see why, with how terrifying it can be to face down one of these monstrosities.

You can check out both trailers below, or our previous coverage of Monster Hunter: World.

Monster Hunter: World is an upcoming action role-playing video game in development and to be published by Capcom, and is the fifth primary title in their Monster Hunter franchise. Monster Hunter: World will be released for PS4 and Xbox one in “early 2018,” with a PC version arriving at a later date.
