Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is part of Rebellion’s new strategy to bring the sniper franchise to new platforms over the coming months. This new remaster will recap the events of the original game in the franchise for a new audience, but that’s not all the developer is working on. The company is also working on Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition for a variety of platforms, and then there is the release of Sniper Elite VR, and a new mainline Sniper Elite game.
But let gets back to the point of this post, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. This graphical upgrade may be a bit pricey for some gamers, but it packs quite a lot of visual stopping power. The digital version of the game is already available for pre-order on PS4 and PC at a 10% discount, down from the typical price of $34.99. Also anyone who already owns the original version of this title can grab the remaster as an update DLC of sorts for $9.99.
The actual powder packed into this shot in terms of visual prowess is quite impressive. Gamers can expect Sniper Elite V2 Remastered to feature a bunch of improvements, and much more than just the assumed 4K and HDR support. We will also see vastly improved environmental detail, lighting, and character models in this amped up version.
The remastered version of this Nazi-killing funfest is quite clearly getting a graphical upgrade across all platforms with this V2 update. Rebellion even dropped a comparison trailer for the new version, which can be seen below. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will release for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 14th.
