Next Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown highlights MiG-31B in new trailer

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown MiG-31B Trailer

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has another new plane highlight trailer courtesy of Bandai Namco. This time we’re getting an in-depth look at one of the most iconic Russian supersonic fighters. The Mikoyan MiG-31 has been around for many decades, and is an amazing bit of aircraft engineering. The variant sought to replace the MiG-25 “Foxbat” with a much faster and more agile plane, and the MiG-31 became a staple in the air forces of both the Soviet Union and various Soviet satellite states.

The 31B variant showcased in this new trailer has been seen before in the franchise, with many other appearances. It’s staggering how many games this plane has been put into, those appearances include Air Combat, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception, Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion, Ace Combat: Joint Assault, Ace Combat: Infinity, and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy.

If you want to get a more firm grasp on what the game will be like on release, there’s plenty of gameplay and other info to check out. You might want to check out the Collector’s Edition which features a scale model and the DLC season pass, if you’re a hardcore fan that is. There’s also a ton of screenshots showing gameplay elements and story to take a peek at. There’s also another longer bit of gameplay showing the “Long Day” mission.

This is just the latest aircraft overview for there was one for the Typhoon jet, and the another putting the spotlight on the F/A-18F.
