Jump Force has an incredible character creator, check out the trailer

Jump Force Character Creation Trailer

Bandai Namco has just released another new trailer for the upcoming fighting game, Jump Force. In this latest trailer we get a tease for the Avatar system, what is essentially custom character creation in-game.

The character creator allows you to mix and match elements to your liking, allowing you to create your own characters using pieces and accents from a variety of different anime franchises. Literally every aspect of your characters can be tweaked. All the aspects of your costumes like clothes, boots, and facial accessories can be messed with. If you want to make a freakish amalgamation that looks like Goku got dropped into Afro Samurai, you can certainly do that. But it doesn’t end with the visual spectrum either. Players can create completely custom movesets from the suite of existing abilities. So if you also wanted to create a bunch of Naruto shinobi that fire a Kamehameha, that’s possible as well.

But that new look at character creation wasn’t the only thing in this trailer. Gamers also got to see more about the story in Jump Force, maybe now we’ll understand why this mashup of insanity is happening. We see the primary villains using some mysterious powers to shape a variety of realities, tearing the asunder. The Jump Force forms as a massive team of good guys to take on this potentially universe-destroying threat.

Anime fans have a ton of cool stuff to look forward to with characters, both playable and not, with this game and its massive and expanding roster. The two newest additions join a roster of more than two dozen fighters from across the spectrum of anime characters. Some are joining Jump Force from violent or combat-focused franchises like Dragon Ball or Naruto, while some characters are coming hard out of left field from seemingly unrelated properties like Yu-Gi-Oh!.

If you want to see some more characters in action, there’s plenty to gawk at in other trailers. During TGS 2018, characters from Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter were revealed. Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh! was another addition to be unveiled after that. Another recent character source was the Rurouni Kenshin property.
