Pokémon Go is going nuts with events in 2022. Pokémon Go Tour: Johto is the big item on the calendar in the new year. Pokémon Go Tour: Johto will occur from February 26 at 9 AM to 9 PM in your local time zone. During that time, the ticket you buy will guarantee certain spawns.
By buying into the event, various rewards will be given to ticketholders. All players will get some kind of events, but only those that pay get the full experience. You can buy either the Gold or Silver versions of the event. And each event will have its own exclusive spawns. For example, Ho-oh might show up for some players depending on the ticket they buy.
If you purchase the Gold or Silver version ticket before January 10, 2022, you’ll be able to access the Timed Research that’s a part of the festivities. if you wait too long to buy-in, you won’t get these timed events. These exclusive Masterwork Research events will grant more encounters and items.

Each version of the Pokémon Go Tour: Johto tickets will have a specific set of Pokémon that’s boosted. For example, some Legendaries might be a bit more common. Also, players will get shiny chances improved as well. And for a final boost, you get a certain set of extra boosts if you activate an Incense.

And even if you don’t buy into the event, there will be regular in-game events as well. Johto Pokémon will be appearing all over the world at increased spawn rates. Trainers will also notice that Unown will get boosted for all players, as well as increased Candy rewards for transfers. This is one of the biggest events going on in Pokémon Go right now.
